Sahara Group has joined Concordia, the New York-based nonprofit that facilitates cross-sector partnerships for social impact, as a Regional Patron Member. Concordia’s membership community spans industries, geographies, and causes, and represents a diverse and inclusive network of organizations and individuals committed to elevating and advancing positive social impact. Sahara Group and Concordia are aligned in their goals of designing impactful public-private partnerships and leveraging the strengths of cross-sector collaboration towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

Having witnessed Concordia’s pivotal role in convening and creatively facilitating meaningful synergies and networks, Sahara Group is excited to bring its unique African perspective and global leverage to the table as the Sahara Foundation continues to propel its mission of enhancing energy access and promoting sustainable environments,” commented Pearl Uzokwe, Governance & Sustainability Director at Sahara Group.

Concordia’s Co-Founder & CEO, Matthew Swift, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Sahara Group to the Concordia family. As a leading, African-owned multinational operating on the global energy stage, Sahara Group brings a unique perspective. I’m confident they’ll play an integral role in shaping the conversations and outcomes of our Africa Initiative as well as our global energy programming.”
