Recently, the Group expanded operations in Eastern Africa with a focus to enhance availability of refined products around the region.

Sahara’s downstream operations has over the years expanded across Africa with the formation of entities including: Asharami Synergy Plc., So Energy Ghana, Sahara Tanzania, Asharami Energy Zambia, Asharami Energy Kenya, Asharami Energy Senegal, and others; with storage operations in Antwerp and Malta.

The company emerged from a consolidation of 9 Sahara Group companies with interests in Procurement, Storage, and Distribution of white products across Nigeria. As one of Nigeria’s leading petroleum products supplier, Asharami Synergy provides at least 24% of Nigeria’s aviation fuel demand, as well as a significant share of Nigeria’s Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) demand.
